2023.08.15. – Megszokhattuk már, hogy a streaming szolgáltatók hónapról hónapra változtatnak kicsit a tartalmi kínálaton. Új filmek és sorozatok jönnek-mennek, így megy ez a Netflixnél, az HBO-nál, a Disney-nél, na meg a legfrissebb versenyzővel, a SkyShowtime-mal is.

Arra azonban egyáltalán nem számított senki, hogy augusztus közepén a SkyShowtime egy gigantikus filmcserét hajt végre csendben, amely keretében 335 filmet távolítanak el az elérhető katalógusból. Ez a mennyiség még gombócból is irgalmatlanul sok, nemhogy filmből, ami átlagos két és fél órás játékidővel számolva 837 órányi néznivalót jelent.

A váratlan purgálást a Sorozatjunkie szúrta ki figyelmesen, majd hozzátette, hogy ugyanezzel a lendülettel 128 új film is felkerült, ami bár remek hír, de a mérleg nyelvét nyilván nem egyenlíti ki. Azaz az előfizetők így több mint 200 filmmel lettek szegényebbek, melyeket ezután más szolgáltató felületén lesz érdemes keresni. Ezek között egyébként régi klasszikusok és viszonylag újabb alkotások is szerepelnek, ha pedig valamelyik pont rajta volt a „később megnézem” listádon, akkor a Just Watchon ellenőrizheted, hogy épp hol érhető el.
